You will be instrumental in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining sophisticated subsurface software applications, Petrel plug-ins, and robust APIs. Your work will involve creating cloud-based integration solutions that are crucial for geological modeling, seismic interpretation, and reservoir characterization. Collaborate closely with geoscientists and engineers to streamline and optimize subsurface interpretation processes, integrating modern technologies like AI/ML and cloud platforms.

Key contributions include developing and maintaining Petrel (Ocean SDK) plug-ins and subsurface workflows. You will also build desktop, cloud, and integration solutions using C#, .NET, Azure, and Python, alongside developing APIs and data pipelines. Integrating AI/ML into subsurface interpretation workflows and ensuring software quality through DevOps practices are also core responsibilities. Participation in Agile development and providing technical guidance will be essential.

This position requires 5-8 years of relevant professional experience. Essential technical proficiencies include C#, .NET, Azure, DevOps, CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes. Expertise in Petrel (Ocean SDK) development, OAuth, Authentication, and Cybersecurity is mandatory. A strong understanding of the Oil & Gas domain, particularly in Geology/Geophysics/Subsurface Modeling, along with experience in static/dynamic modeling tools like Jewel Suite, is crucial.

Candidates must possess robust Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and Python development experience. Preferred qualifications include AI/ML, High Performance Computing (HPC), Software Architecture, and Design Patterns. Familiarity with platforms such as OpenGL, Qt, OSDU, Petrel, Techlog, and Studio is advantageous. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Geology, or Geophysics is required, with a Master's degree being preferred. This role operates on a hybrid model, requiring 4 days a week in our Bengaluru office.
