This Senior Consultant role within Business Consulting PI focuses on the TMT (Technology, Media & Entertainment, and Telecommunications) sector, specifically within the CNS - BC - FINANCE domain in Chennai. The role involves transforming businesses through people, technology, and innovation, driving long-term client value by solving strategic problems. As a Senior Consultant in Procure to Pay (PTP), you will supervise end-to-end PTP delivery, including invoice processing, payments, vendor queries, and exception resolution. You will lead and mentor a team, monitor service performance, and maintain effective controls. This includes analyzing AP reports to identify trends and support management decisions. Key responsibilities involve team leadership and management, PTP process oversight, ensuring compliance with policies and controls, and performing in-depth reporting and analysis of accounts payable data. You will also serve as an escalation point for complex issues, investigating and resolving discrepancies, and contributing to system improvements.

Specific duties include supervising, mentoring, and training PTP specialists, delegating tasks, and conducting performance reviews. You will oversee accurate and timely invoice processing, identify process improvements, and maintain strong internal stakeholder relationships. Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements, participating in audits, and staying updated on best practices are crucial. Analyzing aging reports, payment forecasts, and KPIs, and recommending corrective actions are also key. You will investigate and resolve issues, develop solutions, and review vendor statement reconciliations.

We are seeking a graduate with 5-8 years of experience in Procure to Pay processes. Essential knowledge includes invoice validation, PO matching, reconciliations, and exception handling. Prior experience in supervising PTP process delivery, alongside expertise in invoice and vendor management including query resolution, is required. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, commercially focused with a strong client service approach, and confident in building relationships both internally and externally. Excellent organizational skills with a strength in prioritizing, a flexible attitude, and the ability to remain calm under pressure are vital.

Proficiency in ERP platforms and advanced Microsoft Excel and reporting skills are mandatory. A strong understanding of end-to-end Accounts Payable processes, including managing supplier queries, prioritizing aging items, and meeting service-level agreements, is expected. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com), Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), or Master of Commerce (M.Com). A minimum of 3+ years of experience in Financial Analysis is also required.
