Your role will involve designing, developing, and maintaining robust API and microservices automation frameworks using Java. You will rigorously test Java-based APIs, microservices, core banking services, payment flows, trade finance applications, and backend systems. Key responsibilities include validating end-to-end service interactions, system integrations, customer journeys, and complex trade finance transaction workflows.

Furthermore, you will integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins and GitHub Actions. Leading root cause analysis (RCA), participating in defect triage, and enhancing overall quality governance are crucial. Collaboration with backend, payments, trade finance, cloud, and product teams is essential to ensure high-quality releases. You will also contribute to and review critical testing documentation, including Test Strategy, Test Planning, and Test Management activities.

We are seeking candidates with at least 9 years of dedicated SDET/QA Automation experience. Essential to this role are strong programming skills in Java, alongside hands-on expertise in API automation using tools such as REST Assured, Postman/Newman, and preferably Karate. A solid understanding of testing Java-based APIs and microservices is required, encompassing service contracts, mocking/stubbing, JSON/XML validation, API schema validation, and integration testing patterns.

Significant exposure to the Banking and Financial Services domains, including Retail Banking, Payments, or Trade Finance, is mandatory. Familiarity with Trade Finance products and workflows like Letters of Credit (LC), Bank Guarantees (BG), and Documentary Collections is expected. Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git, Maven/Gradle) and strong command over Linux, log analysis, and debugging backend flows are also critical. A foundational knowledge of API development fundamentals is necessary.
