Join Deloitte's Technology & Transformation practice as a Senior Consultant specializing in Automation Testing in Mumbai. Design, develop, and maintain robust API and microservices automation frameworks, primarily using Java. You will be responsible for testing various Java-based components, including APIs, microservices, core banking services, payment flows, trade finance applications, and backend systems.

Validate intricate end-to-end service interactions, system integrations, complex customer journeys, and trade finance transaction workflows. Integrate developed automation suites seamlessly into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins and GitHub Actions. Lead root cause analysis (RCA), actively participate in defect triage, and contribute to the enhancement of overall quality governance.

Collaborate effectively with backend, payments, trade finance, cloud, and product teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality releases. You will also contribute to and meticulously review Test Strategy, Test Planning, and Test Management activities, ensuring comprehensive test coverage and alignment with project goals.

We are seeking a Senior Consultant with a minimum of 9 years of experience in SDET / QA Automation. Essential to this role are strong programming skills in Java and hands-on experience with API automation tools like REST Assured, Postman, and Newman. Experience with Karate is highly preferred.

You should possess a solid understanding of testing Java-based APIs and microservices, including service contracts, mocking/stubbing, JSON/XML validation, API schema validation, and integration testing patterns. A strong background in Banking and Financial Services domains, particularly in Retail Banking, Payments, or Trade Finance, is crucial. Familiarity with Trade Finance products and workflows such as Letters of Credit (LC), Bank Guarantees (BG), and Documentary Collections is required.

Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, Git, and build tools like Maven/Gradle is necessary. Strong experience in Linux, log analysis, and debugging backend flows is also expected. A good understanding of API development fundamentals, including endpoints, status codes, payload structures, authentication, and authorization, is vital for success in this position.
