Design, develop, test, and support SAP ABAP solutions, meticulously translating functional and business requirements into technical realities. Enhance RICEFW objects, including reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, and workflows, to optimize system performance. Prepare detailed technical specifications from functional blueprints and develop various report types: classical, interactive, and ALV.

Develop and maintain interfaces using IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, APIs, and file-based integration. Implement complex enhancements via BAdIs, user exits, customer exits, and enhancement spots. Create and manage Smart Forms, SAPscript, and Adobe Forms. Support data migration and conversion using BDC, LSMW, BAPIs, and custom programs. Conduct thorough debugging, root-cause analysis, code correction, and performance optimization.

Perform technical unit testing and support system integration testing, resolving defects proactively. Ensure adherence to SAP development standards through rigorous code reviews. Collaborate closely with functional consultants across SAP modules to deliver tailored technical solutions. Support SAP implementation, rollout, upgrade, enhancement, and production support activities. Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including specifications, test evidence, code reviews, and deployment instructions.

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members. Coordinate effectively with onsite and offshore stakeholders, communicating technical risks, dependencies, and progress. This role offers significant exposure to diverse SAP environments and project lifecycles.

A minimum of 8 to 12 years of extensive hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development is essential. Proven expertise in developing and supporting RICEFW objects, coupled with a strong understanding of ABAP Workbench, Data Dictionary, modularisation techniques, function modules, and object-oriented ABAP. Demonstrable experience with reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, and workflows.

Proficiency in integration mechanisms like IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, and proxy interfaces is required. Strong command of enhancement techniques including BAdIs, user exits, customer exits, and enhancement frameworks. Experience with Smart Forms, SAPscript, and Adobe Forms is a must. Excellent debugging, troubleshooting, and performance-tuning skills are critical for this role.

Familiarity with SAP transport management and development lifecycle processes is expected. Experience in preparing technical specifications and conducting code reviews is necessary. The ability to work independently and manage multiple technical deliverables is key. Experience in SAP S/4HANA environments, including CDS views, AMDP, OData services, and SAP Gateway, is highly advantageous. Exposure to ABAP Development Tools in Eclipse is preferred.

An understanding of SAP Fiori application integration and backend development, along with experience in SAP workflows and flexible workflows, is beneficial. Prior involvement in SAP implementation, rollout, migration, or upgrade projects is valuable. Knowledge of clean-core principles and modern SAP development practices is a significant plus. A Graduate Degree in Science or Engineering (B.SC IT, B.SC Computer Science, BE/BTech) or an MBA in a related discipline is required. A relevant SAP ABAP certification is preferred but not mandatory.
