This Senior Business Analyst role within Optum Clinical Language Intelligence (CLI)™ is crucial for enhancing Health Information Management, coding, CDI, and revenue cycle operations. You will leverage your expertise to analyze product data, contribute to client success, and support strategic business planning, working closely with data science and CLI software engineers.

Key responsibilities include collaborating with product management on long-term healthcare industry trends, assessing customer product performance, and defining product specifications through root cause analysis. You will be responsible for accurately assigning ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT, or HCPCS codes, acting as an internal expert on Health Information Management standards. Additionally, you will coach less experienced team members, apply ethical principles, and utilize your knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology to develop product solutions. Maintaining certifications and complying with company policies are also essential aspects of this role.

Ideal candidates possess at least one of the following credentials: CPC, CPC-H, CCS, CCS-P, RCC, CDIP, or CDIS, coupled with over 5 years of continuous Health Information Management experience. A strong understanding of healthcare, medical coding, billing, quality reporting, and revenue cycle technology is required. The role demands the ability to comprehend clinical content from health records, work both independently and collaboratively, and communicate effectively with software developers and subject matter experts. Excellent organizational and time management skills are also essential.
