We are seeking a Physical Design Methodology and Operations Engineer to enhance the infrastructure powering NVIDIA's semiconductor design flows. This role involves managing complex systems that coordinate thousands of daily jobs for over a thousand chip designers globally. Design and maintain systems for orchestrating large-scale semiconductor design tasks across global datacenters. Own the architecture of platform components, defining scalable and evolving interfaces, data models, and service boundaries. Lead the modernization of legacy services, evaluating Perl and Python backends and driving migration strategies. Debug and enhance production services across web, containerized, and bare-metal Linux environments. Develop and improve web interfaces for configuring, launching, and analyzing EDA tools and design flows. Analyze job execution telemetry and tool quality data to optimize flows and detect regressions. Mentor junior engineers, contribute to design reviews, and uphold team technical standards. Contribute to the innovation of next-generation semiconductor design methodologies. Potentially contribute to the physical design of GPU, CPU, SoC, and networking products.

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Systems Engineering, or equivalent experience is required. Possess 5+ years of software engineering experience with a proven history of delivering production systems. Demonstrate strong software architecture and design skills, including defining service boundaries, APIs, data models, and system interfaces. Proficiency in Python and/or Perl, with comfort in JavaScript and web technologies. Experience with large-scale distributed systems is essential. Proven ability to manage projects from conception through maintenance and support. Comfortable owning and debugging production services on Linux-based systems.
