As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you will architect, develop, and manage the software and tools essential for testing and validating our infrastructure's performance and reliability. You will collaborate closely with fellow engineers to pinpoint potential issues, devise automated testing strategies, and engineer robust solutions that guarantee system resilience. In this pivotal role, you will champion the solutions you create, working across diverse teams in a dynamic setting to ensure successful deployment. Your responsibilities will include enhancing service resiliency through automation, identifying and rectifying performance bottlenecks, and contributing to capacity planning.

This role involves designing and developing sophisticated software tools for infrastructure testing and verification. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining automated testing frameworks for our infrastructure. Collaboration with infrastructure and development teams is key to identifying and resolving reliability issues. You will also actively participate in code reviews, upholding high standards for software quality.

Further duties include contributing to incident reviews, assisting with root cause analysis, and delivering SRE solutions within a globally distributed, multi-cloud hybrid environment (AWS, GCP, and On-prem). The ultimate goal is to ensure the highest levels of uptime and Quality of Service (QoS) for our internal customers. This position offers the opportunity to influence system architecture and drive improvements in a critical area of our operations.

A Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience, is required. We are looking for candidates with a minimum of 8 years of software development experience.

Essential technical skills include proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Go, or Java, and strong expertise in Kubernetes administration, modern CI/CD techniques, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). A deep understanding of Linux operating systems and TCP/IP fundamentals is crucial.

Experience with software testing methodologies and tools, alongside proficiency in monitoring, metrics gathering, APM, container management, and log collection tools, is necessary. The ideal candidate is a creative problem-solver with excellent debugging skills and strong documentation abilities. Experience with performance and chaos engineering, and familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) are considered preferred qualifications.
