This role is within the Strategy and Transactions (SaT) - Transaction Cost & Capital Advisory (TCF) team, focusing on Capital and Debt Advisory. Our SaT division helps clients reimagine their ecosystems and reshape their portfolios for a better future by addressing strategic, financial, operational, and commercial challenges. We assist various entities, including corporations, private equity, governments, and educational institutions, with critical financial issues, capital allocation, financial planning, and decision support. Our team optimizes risk/return trade-offs to enhance financing and capital efficiency, leveraging our Connected Capital Solutions (CCS) framework across Strategy, Corporate Finance, Buy and Integrate, Sell and Separate, and Reshaping Results.

Our core areas of expertise include Investment Banking Advisory, Valuations, Modeling and Economics, Transaction Diligence, Restructuring and Turnaround Services, Project Finance and Infrastructure, and EY Parthenon Strategy and Execution.

You will be responsible for assessing client processes across commercial, finance, and operations to identify pain points affecting working capital, cash flow, and profitability. Analyzing transactional and operational data to extract critical insights is key. You'll develop and implement strategies for optimizing inventory management, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.

Collaborate closely with client teams to evaluate financial and operational performance, providing actionable recommendations. Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for clients, clearly outlining findings and proposed solutions. Assist in business development activities, including creating presentations for client meetings and internal pursuits. Identify opportunities for working capital improvements and stay abreast of industry trends and best practices.

This role requires a willingness to travel and work from client locations as needed.

To excel in this role, you should possess a strong understanding of cash flows, profitability, and working capital metrics, with the ability to articulate the impact of operational improvements on financial statements. Excellent numerical and analytical problem-solving skills, coupled with meticulous attention to detail, are essential. Proficiency in MS Office packages, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, alongside experience with BI and AI tools, is required.

Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to present complex information clearly. The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, managing multiple priorities effectively, is crucial. A Bachelor of Engineering degree or being a Chartered Accountant, combined with an MBA from a premier institution, is required.

We are seeking candidates with 3-6 years of experience in consulting, finance, or a related field, specializing in working capital optimization. Prior experience in finance transformation, supply chain optimization, or process improvement projects is highly valued. The ideal candidate will have a practical approach to problem-solving, deliver insightful solutions, and demonstrate agility, curiosity, mindfulness, and creativity.
