EY is seeking a Senior Associate for our Government and Public Sector (GPS) practice, specifically within the Strategy and Transactions (SaT) - TCF - Infrastructure Advisory team in New Delhi. This role is integral to enhancing digital transformation initiatives within the public sector, focusing on regulatory intelligence and compliance frameworks.

Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining a regulatory intelligence repository, the KYA framework, and a recommendation engine for NSWS. This involves extensive research, sectoral mapping, and regulatory analysis.
You will engage with stakeholders, develop structured decision rules for business approvals and compliances, and convert regulatory requirements into user-friendly questionnaires. Tracking regulatory changes, assessing their implications, and updating databases will be crucial. Collaboration with government ministries, state departments, industry chambers, and sector associations for consultations and validation is also expected.
Furthermore, you will support data analytics for insights generation, prepare analytical reports and dashboards, and contribute to developing strategic intelligence products. Quality assurance, participation in testing exercises, and ensuring accuracy and completeness of approval mappings are also key deliverables.
The role requires a postgraduate degree in Public Policy, Economics, Management, Law, Governance, Public Administration, or a related field. An MBA or Master of Business Administration is also listed as a qualification.
Candidates should possess a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, including expertise in Ease of Doing Business reforms, regulatory analysis, compliance management, and government advisory or policy consulting. Experience working with government ministries, state governments, or regulatory agencies is desirable, and prior consulting experience is advantageous.
Essential skills include strong capabilities in regulatory and policy research, compliance mapping, stakeholder engagement, analytical thinking, report writing, data management, and documentation. Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and dashboarding is required, alongside excellent verbal and written communication skills. A collaborative approach, practical problem-solving abilities, and an agile, curious, and mindful mindset are highly valued.
