This role is within EY's Global Government & Public Sector (GPS) team, focusing on Infrastructure Advisory. Our team comprises highly skilled professionals dedicated to assisting government clients with critical challenges, particularly in digital transformation and strategic planning. We aim to build solutions that help public sector entities navigate future challenges and reinvent themselves by optimizing organizational structures, governance, and processes.
We leverage private sector best practices combined with a deep understanding of public sector needs to enhance public services. Our Transaction Advisory Services practice is a market leader, offering implementable strategies derived from our extensive sector knowledge, transaction experience, and operational insights. We work across various sectors including Transport, Social & Health Care, Education, Urban & Infrastructure, and Economic Development Advisory.
The Senior Associate will be instrumental in developing and maintaining a comprehensive regulatory intelligence repository. This includes managing the KYA (Know Your Client) framework and enhancing the recommendation engine for NSWS. Key responsibilities involve extensive research, detailed sectoral mapping, and thorough regulatory analysis.
Engaging with stakeholders, developing structured decision rules for business approvals, and ensuring compliance are also core duties. The role requires monitoring regulatory changes, assessing their impact, and updating databases and recommendation logic accordingly. Maintaining version control and audit records will be essential for a robust repository. Collaboration with government ministries, regulators, and industry associations for validation and issue resolution is crucial.
We are seeking a professional with a Postgraduate degree in Public Policy, Economics, Management, Law, Governance, Public Administration, or a related field. A Master's in Business Administration (MBA) is also highly valued.
Candidates should possess a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, including work in Ease of Doing Business reforms, regulatory analysis, compliance management, or government advisory. Experience with government ministries, state governments, or regulatory agencies is advantageous. Prior consulting experience would be a significant asset.
Essential skills include strong capabilities in regulatory and policy research, compliance mapping, stakeholder engagement, analytical thinking, report writing, and data management. Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and dashboarding tools is required, alongside excellent verbal and written communication skills. Adaptability, creativity, and a collaborative approach to problem-solving are key attributes.
