As a Senior Product Software Engineer on the Reliability Platforms team, you will play a crucial role in building and maintaining the foundational services that power our global-scale production systems. Your expertise will directly impact the dependability of our traffic, compute, and streaming platforms, as well as the development of critical reliability tooling.

This role is within a collaborative organization comprising Technical Operations, Reliability Platforms, and Observability & Platform teams. You will contribute to ensuring production readiness, managing alerts, capacity, and complex customer issues. Your focus will be on enhancing reliability, resiliency, and self-healing capabilities across our services, leveraging automation to streamline operational processes.

- Design, build, and own services and automation within the traffic, compute, and streaming platform layers, ensuring reliability, resiliency, and self-healing behavior in production services. - Implement and refine SLO measurement, error budget reporting, and reliability tooling for engineering teams. - Develop and maintain safe deployment pipelines utilizing strategies like canary and blue/green deployments. - Enhance automated testing coverage for platform services, encompassing unit, integration, performance, and chaos testing. - Participate in on-call rotations, lead incident response efforts, and conduct blameless post-incident reviews for owned services. - Mentor fellow engineers, contribute to design and code review best practices, and collaborate with technical operations to automate repetitive tasks.

- Possess a minimum of 5 years of professional software engineering experience, focusing on large-scale, distributed, and highly reliable systems, including development, operations, and on-call support. - Proficiency in systems programming languages such as Java, Python, Rust, or Go, with a demonstrated ability to write production-quality code. - Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform, containerization with Docker, and Kubernetes, along with an understanding of immutable infrastructure patterns. - Experience deploying and operating AWS-based solutions and familiarity with core AWS services (IAM, CloudWatch, EC2, EKS, Kinesis, DynamoDB, ElastiCache, Lambda, S3). - Experience with CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Spinnaker) and reliable deployment strategies (canary, blue/green). - Solid experience with various levels of automated testing, including unit, integration, functional, and performance testing. - Expertise in observability tooling (Datadog, Prometheus, CloudWatch, Grafana), including service instrumentation and alert tuning. - Demonstrate clear, concise written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative approach to working with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
