This critical role ensures the day-to-day stability and optimal performance of systems leveraging Airflow (MWAA), Spark, Flink on EKS, and Databricks within the AWS environment.

You will be instrumental in responding to live incidents, meticulously troubleshooting complex issues, maintaining robust infrastructure, and implementing strategic improvements to enhance overall reliability and efficiency. This is an exceptional avenue for experienced engineers who excel in production environments, relish solving intricate infrastructure challenges, and are deeply committed to maintaining the integrity of platforms vital to Disney's advertising operations.

Directly support production EKS workloads, CI/CD pipelines, and core AWS infrastructure.

Develop and maintain Terraform modules, custom scripts, and essential monitoring tools for platform operations, diagnostics, pod health, and deployment processes.

Proactively respond to and resolve issues within EKS, Istio, and CI/CD systems, ensuring swift recovery and thorough documentation of resolutions.

Collaborate effectively with application and DevOps teams on shared projects, seamless onboarding, and successful delivery initiatives.

Contribute to the creation and refinement of operational runbooks, infrastructure standards, and best practices aimed at elevating platform reliability.

A minimum of 4 years of experience in infrastructure, platform engineering, or DevOps roles is required.

A foundational background in supporting data systems is essential.

Demonstrate solid operational expertise with AWS infrastructure, including IAM, VPC, EKS, and ALB/NLB.

Possess hands-on experience with data infrastructure platforms like MWAA, Databricks, and running Spark and Flink on Kubernetes in production settings.

Proven experience supporting CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins and Spinnaker, including effective pipeline troubleshooting.

Familiarity with cloud security and networking concepts pertinent to EKS, such as IAM, TLS, VPCs, DNS, and service-to-service access.

Exhibit strong collaboration and communication skills, enabling alignment across globally distributed engineering teams.

Working knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform and scripting languages including Python and Go.

Experience participating in on-call rotations or incident resolution processes within globally distributed teams is expected.

Demonstrated experience in handling high-severity incidents and driving root cause resolution across distributed global teams.
