This role focuses on designing, implementing, and optimizing advanced service-mesh-driven microservices architectures on Amazon EKS and Oracle OKE. You'll be instrumental in building secure, scalable, and resilient cloud-native environments that empower development teams with modern traffic management and zero-trust security practices.

You will be responsible for deploying, managing, and scaling Kubernetes clusters across AWS EKS and Oracle OKE, leveraging tools like Terraform and Helm for automation. Designing and implementing Istio service mesh architectures for multi-cluster and multi-cloud environments will be a core function, including advanced traffic management configurations such as canary releases and fault injection. You'll also implement mTLS, zero-trust networking, and integrate Istio with identity providers and cloud networking components. Building end-to-end observability using Prometheus, Grafana, Kiali, and Jaeger, along with troubleshooting mesh-level issues, will ensure platform reliability. Furthermore, you'll automate mesh configurations and cluster operations through CI/CD pipelines and scripting.

We are seeking an experienced professional with 7-9 years in Kubernetes platform engineering, backed by hands-on experience with Istio in production settings. A strong command of EKS and OKE cluster architecture, along with a deep understanding of Envoy proxy and service mesh patterns, is essential. Proficiency in Terraform, Helm, GitOps tools, and YAML-based configuration management is required. Candidates must possess a solid grasp of cloud networking concepts, observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, Kiali, Jaeger), and robust scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Go. Experience with multi-cluster deployments and container security tools is highly advantageous.
