As a Senior Business Analyst specializing in Guidewire Platforms, you will be instrumental in translating complex business needs into precise, implementable functional requirements for Guidewire initiatives. You will operate as a senior member within Agile teams, ensuring all requirements are clear, verifiable, and align with Guidewire product capabilities, all while adhering to established organizational standards and blueprints. This role emphasizes strong execution, deep functional knowledge, and reliable delivery, with increasing responsibility across both operational and change-related activities.

Key responsibilities include analyzing business requirements across Guidewire platforms (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter) and translating them into Epics, features, and user stories with clear acceptance criteria. You'll prioritize out-of-the-box Guidewire capabilities and justify any configuration or customization needs, identifying functional gaps and impacts. Partnering with Product Owners, Business SMEs, and Delivery leads is crucial for clarifying objectives and scope. You will own the backlog quality, ensuring user stories are complete, unambiguous, and ready for development, acting as the primary functional contact during sprints. Active participation in Agile ceremonies, support for testing activities (functional, integration, UAT), and providing functional expertise for production incidents (L2/L3) are also integral parts of this role. You will champion standards, promote reuse, and contribute to continuous improvement in requirement quality and delivery efficiency.

We are seeking candidates with 7-10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst within enterprise settings. Essential qualifications include strong hands-on experience with the Guidewire Insurance Suite, a solid understanding of P&C insurance business processes, and proven success working in Agile delivery teams. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with strong written and verbal communication abilities to effectively engage with both business and technical stakeholders, are vital. Desirable experience includes working in multi-BU or shared-service environments, exposure to Guidewire Cloud transformations, and experience supporting production issues or run activities.
