Drive technical excellence by leading architectural design and implementing large-scale projects. You will troubleshoot critical bugs and mentor senior engineers, fostering collaboration across teams including Product Management, QA, and Design. A minimum of 5 years of software engineering experience, demonstrating a strong history of designing, developing, and deploying production-grade applications is essential. Proficiency in Python is required, along with hands-on experience in large-scale data processing using Apache Spark and various file formats. Advanced SQL knowledge, including data modeling and query optimization, is crucial.
Expertise in data platform technologies like Databricks and Snowflake, coupled with experience in orchestration frameworks such as Apache Airflow, is expected. A deep understanding of ETL/ELT pipeline design and data integration concepts is necessary. Familiarity with containerization, DevOps practices (GitLab, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud environments, particularly AWS, is required.
Solid knowledge of data lakehouse and microservices architectures, experience with API integrations (RESTful, GraphQL), and familiarity with streaming frameworks like Kafka are vital. Proficiency in Linux environments and shell scripting is a plus. A strong grasp of object-oriented and functional programming, along with an understanding of data governance, security, and observability best practices, is required.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills are necessary to work effectively across teams. Strong time management abilities to break down complex issues into actionable tasks are important. Experience in Agile environments, contributing to iterative development and continuous improvement, is preferred.
A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience is beneficial. Preferred experience includes advanced AWS services, Kafka, Apache Airflow, Databricks, Snowflake, PostgreSQL, and serverless computing.
