We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our Bengaluru team. This role focuses on building and maintaining robust data pipelines and platforms essential for analytics, reporting, and AI/ML initiatives. You will tackle moderately complex data engineering challenges, collaborating closely with stakeholders to deliver reliable data solutions that meet enterprise-wide needs. As a technical resource, you'll guide team members on best practices and contribute to the ongoing enhancement of our data platforms and processes.

Key responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data ingestion, transformation, and integration pipelines. You will build and optimize ETL/ELT workflows, process diverse data types, and translate business requirements into effective technical solutions. Responsibilities also encompass analyzing and resolving complex data challenges, developing data models, and ensuring data quality and integrity. Collaboration with various teams, performance monitoring, and implementing data governance standards are integral to this role. You will also create documentation, participate in code reviews, troubleshoot production issues, and contribute to automation and continuous improvement efforts.

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field is required, along with at least 3 years of experience in data engineering or big data development. Essential skills include proficiency in SQL and Python for data processing, experience with ETL/ELT pipelines, and working with large datasets. Familiarity with data warehouses, data lakes, and modern data architectures is necessary. Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud, along with an understanding of data modeling, data quality, and governance principles, is crucial. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, along with the ability to work independently, are expected.
