Join EY's Global Delivery Services (GDS) Finance team as a Senior Executive in Accounts Receivable & Finance Operations. This role offers a unique opportunity to enhance operational support across AR, billing, and select finance functions. You'll play a crucial part in ensuring seamless reconciliations with statutory data, managing engagement setups, and supporting monthly closing activities. Focus on CS/ES billing, resolving billing disputes, and assisting with domestic billing and revenue accruals.
This position is designed to strengthen the synergy between Accounts Receivable, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), and statutory finance processes. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in guaranteeing the accuracy and completeness of billing, facilitating timely financial closes, and effectively resolving operational billing challenges within a global finance framework.
Key responsibilities include preparing and maintaining detailed reconciliations between AR, billing, and statutory accounting information, promptly investigating discrepancies. You will coordinate the creation, update, and maintenance of engagements and their financial attributes, ensuring data accuracy and proper setup.
Manage monthly closing schedules for AR and billing, tracking deadlines and escalating potential risks. Support end-to-end CS/ES billing, including invoice preparation and exception handling, alongside performing reconciliations between FP&A and AR data for revenue consistency.
Handle billing disputes, rejected invoices, and other exceptions, working collaboratively with various teams to find root causes and drive resolutions. Provide support for domestic billing, ensuring compliance with financial and tax regulations, and assist with the monthly revenue accrual process.
Participate in process improvement initiatives for FP&A and AR, focusing on standardization, reporting, and automation. Generate operational reports and trackers and contribute to internal control, audit, and compliance requests, maintaining clear supporting documentation.
To excel in this role, a strong understanding of billing, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and month-end close procedures is essential. You should possess sound accounting knowledge, enabling you to link operational finance data with statutory records.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex schedules, multiple deadlines, and cross-functional dependencies is key. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail and completeness, are required. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities are vital for navigating a global and multicultural environment.
Confidence in following up, addressing inconsistencies, and escalating issues appropriately is important. A process-improvement mindset, coupled with the ability to document and standardize finance activities, will be highly valued. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is a must; experience with SAP or other ERP systems is preferred.
Ideal candidates will have project management skills, exposure to tools like Power BI or Hyperion, and experience working in a fast-paced, client-centric, multinational setting. We seek a curious and collaborative team player committed to continuous learning and improvement, who is self-driven and capable of producing high-quality work with minimal supervision.
