This role offers an exciting opportunity within the EY GDS GCO Enablement team in India. You will collaborate closely with legal professionals and support EY's business operations by focusing on vendor contracts. The position requires providing essential legal support to business units and establishing yourself as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, adept at assessing and mitigating risks.

Key responsibilities include drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and finalizing various vendor agreements such as Statements of Work, Master Service Agreements, and framework agreements. You will also provide comprehensive legal advice and risk management counsel related to sponsorship contracts, services contracts, and other supporting documentation.

This role serves as a primary point of contact for EY's business and procurement teams, offering crucial support to the legal department. A solid understanding of general business risks is essential, with ongoing training provided on EY's specific risk management framework. You will coordinate effectively with internal specialist functions, including Independence, onshore legal teams, Security, Privacy, and Risk Management, while staying informed about evolving EY policies and organizational changes.

We are seeking an individual with 2-4 years of post-qualification experience in contract review, drafting, and negotiation. A Law Graduate/LL.B qualification is required.

Essential skills include excellent interpersonal and communication abilities for effective stakeholder engagement, proficiency in team collaboration with onshore legal teams, and the capacity to accurately articulate and document complex transactions. The ability to assess transaction risks and tailor contracts accordingly is crucial. Candidates should be highly responsive, adept at managing high workloads efficiently, and possess a solution-oriented mindset focused on exceptional client service.

Demonstrated attention to detail, strong English language proficiency (verbal and written), confidence, maturity, and a high degree of awareness are vital for working with senior internal stakeholders. A service-oriented personality capable of delivering high-quality work within deadlines, coupled with significant personal energy and a drive for success, is expected. Knowledge of data protection (GDPR/CCPA), privacy, security terms, compliance concepts (Independence, Conflicts), and experience drafting/negotiating IP terms in contracts are also key requirements.
