Join NVIDIA as a Senior ASIC Design Engineer and contribute to the development of cutting-edge GPU core pipeline IP. This role offers a unique opportunity to impact next-generation graphics and AI technologies within a globally recognized leader. You'll be part of a passionate team pushing the boundaries of what's possible in parallel and visual computing, shaping the future of computing platforms.
NVIDIA is at the forefront of AI computing, transforming industries with its powerful GPUs. Our work spans from immersive gaming experiences to sophisticated AI algorithms powering autonomous systems. If you are driven by innovation and a desire to solve complex challenges, NVIDIA is the place for you.
As a key member of our ASIC Design team, you will be instrumental in designing and implementing advanced graphics and compute features within an IP.
Your responsibilities will include leading the micro-architecture and RTL design of GPU ASICs. This involves close collaboration with architecture, verification, and physical design teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality, performant designs.
You will develop RTL using Verilog/SystemVerilog, contribute to design specifications, and ensure designs meet critical performance, power, area, and timing targets. Effective collaboration with HW architects, designers, and verification engineers is crucial for achieving comprehensive validation and coverage of all implemented functionality.
Participation in silicon bring-up, post-silicon debug, and performance analysis will also be part of your role, providing end-to-end involvement in the design lifecycle.
We are seeking candidates with a B.Tech. or M.Tech. degree and over 5 years of relevant ASIC design experience.
Essential skills include strong familiarity with Verilog, C++, and Object-Oriented Programming (OOPs) concepts. Experience in RTL design and micro-architecture development at the unit or subsystem level is required, alongside a solid understanding of digital design fundamentals, synchronous design principles, timing, and clock/reset methodologies.
A good grasp of computer architecture concepts is vital. You should possess strong technical fundamentals complemented by superior analytical and problem-solving abilities. While knowledge of SystemVerilog and advanced ASIC design methodologies is highly desirable, exposure to industry-standard design, simulation, and debug tools is also beneficial.
Demonstrated experience in 3D graphics processing or processor design, C/C++ programming, scripting with Perl and Python, and excellent debugging skills will set you apart. Understanding of ASIC implementation flows including synthesis, timing closure, DFT, and physical design considerations is advantageous. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential for effective teamwork.
