Join our dynamic team as a Senior Application Software Engineer, where you will own the application development lifecycle. This role involves suggesting improvements, adhering to best practices, and developing features, enhancements, and fixes based on detailed design specifications. You will be responsible for documenting design and code, leading code reviews, and troubleshooting complex issues. A key aspect of this position is designing software aligned with our architecture and collaborating on customer solutions. Additionally, you will provide technical guidance and support, driving code quality and security standards, and performing essential maintenance, testing, and upgrades for application systems.

Key responsibilities include driving medium feature development and quality enhancements with a focus on measurable performance and reliability. You will provide global production support for critical issues with minimal guidance, improving playbooks and alerts. The role involves troubleshooting and debugging non-routine issues across application layers and OCI services, proposing effective fixes. You will partner with QA to define test strategies and ensure consistency, consider architectural trade-offs, and propose design improvements. Translating ambiguous requirements into scalable designs and implementation plans, defining API contracts, and recommending build priorities based on data are also crucial. Mentoring junior engineers and coordinating cross-functionally for feature delivery are integral to this position.

This role requires a strong foundation in software development, coding, design, testing, and optimization. You will independently design software solutions, analyze requirements, and adhere to and suggest improvements for the software development lifecycle. Developing new features, enhancements, and documenting software design and code are essential. Leading code reviews, debugging complex issues, and implementing software testing, quality assurance, and monitoring are expected. Exercises judgment in performance profiling and optimization, and troubleshooting API functionality and integration. Designing and developing software systems aligned with pre-defined architecture, and implementing performance optimization strategies are key. Collaborating within and beyond your team to resolve customer issues, potentially providing technical guidance, and coaching/mentoring others are important. Adherence to development practices, coding standards, and secure coding practices is mandatory.
