Join OptumAI as a Senior Applied Scientist and lead technical innovation in AI/ML. You will be instrumental in developing cutting-edge machine learning products that enhance healthcare outcomes. As a key member of the OptumAI team, you'll apply your deep expertise in text processing, NLU, SLU, and Computer Vision to solve complex problems. Your contributions will directly impact the effectiveness and reach of our healthcare solutions on a global scale.
Design and develop advanced NLP, ML, and AI products and services for the healthcare sector. Develop sophisticated machine learning and deep learning models for domains including NLP, NLU, NLG, and time series forecasting. Utilize expertise in RAG, LangChain, and Vector Databases for enhanced model performance. Quantize and optimize Generative AI models for efficient deployment. Manage the entire lifecycle of NLP and ML models across a suite of products. Lead complex proof-of-concept initiatives for the healthcare business. Execute end-to-end machine learning development, from data ingestion and feature engineering to model deployment and performance tracking. Establish robust best practices for deep learning and machine learning development to ensure quality and rigor.
Possess a Master's degree in Computer Science with at least 4 years of industry experience, or a PhD with 2+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, or a related quantitative field. Demonstrate 4+ years of hands-on experience with Deep Learning Frameworks and distributed training. Showcase 3+ years of experience in Machine Learning and Deep Learning modeling. Exhibit 2+ years of experience applying computational algorithms and statistical methods to both structured and unstructured data. Have 1+ year of experience in optimizing Generative AI models and applying Agentic AI principles. Strong understanding of Statistics, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or another quantitative discipline. Proven excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills are essential.
