As a Senior AI Silicon Infrastructure Engineer, you will be instrumental in defining and delivering operational success for hardware manufacturing, enhancing planning, quality, delivery, scale, and sustainability for Microsoft's cloud hardware. This role focuses on developing cutting-edge silicon solutions for Microsoft's extensive online businesses, including Azure, Bing, Office 365, and Xbox Live.

We are seeking passionate, driven, and intellectually curious engineers to join our Central Front-End Tools, Flows and Methodology (TFM) group in Bangalore, India. This team drives advanced converged solutions, development, automation, and quality assurance across various front-end areas such as RTL & VIP Design, Design Verification, Validation, DFT, Emulation, PD Handoff, and IP integration. You will own the Azure cloud environment, security, permissions model, and the DevOps/CI/CD pipelines essential for the front-end design community.

This position is for a Silicon Front End CAD Azure DevOps Engineer.

Key responsibilities include owning and scaling the Azure cloud environment for the Central FE CAD team, managing subscriptions, resource groups, capacity, and monitoring. You will build and maintain robust Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines for FE CAD flows and software, ensuring build, run, and release pipelines, regression, quality gates, artifact management, and agent health are optimal.

Furthermore, you will champion the DevOps methodology for the group, defining branching strategies, code review processes, release management, test automation standards, and environment management. Develop, enhance, and integrate FE CAD flows and automation, writing production-quality software primarily in Python. Partner with execution teams and lead the design community in your domain, translating stakeholder requirements into actionable roadmaps.

Collaborate with EDA vendors, Azure platform teams, and IT/security to implement secure and efficient solutions for silicon design and verification. Drive reliability and incident response for CI/CD and cloud infrastructure through monitoring, root-cause analysis, and preventive automation. You will also mentor team members and summer interns.

A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience is required. Candidates should possess 6+ years of experience in CAD/EDA infrastructure, software development, or DevOps engineering. A minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience administering Microsoft Azure cloud environments and 3+ years of experience building/maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps preferred) and version control systems (Git preferred) are essential.

Proficiency in scripting/software development with industry-standard languages such as Python, TCL, Perl, or C/C++ (Python preferred) is necessary. Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree in a related field, 8+ years of relevant experience, expertise in Azure security concepts (Entra ID, Key Vault, network security), experience owning DevOps methodology at scale (Terraform, ARM/Bicep), familiarity with Front-End Tools, Flows, and Methodologies, object-oriented programming expertise, and experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes/AKS).
