As a Security Network SME, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and operating the network and connectivity infrastructure for our enterprise cloud platform. This includes managing hub-and-spoke and Azure Virtual WAN topologies, as well as hybrid connectivity to on-premises and member-firm networks.

Your responsibilities will encompass configuring and overseeing edge routing, BGP peering, and DNS architecture across both cloud and on-premises environments. You will implement and manage centralized firewalls, traffic inspection, and associated policies, ensuring alignment with approved security baselines.

Key tasks also include integrating network and firewall telemetry with monitoring and SIEM tools, supporting firewall platform migrations, and monitoring network health and performance. You will be responsible for incident response, escalation, and supporting disaster recovery planning and testing. Maintaining comprehensive network documentation and runbooks is crucial, along with deploying and maintaining network infrastructure through Infrastructure-as-Code, collaborating with various architecture and DevOps teams.

We are seeking a seasoned professional with over 6 years of overall experience, including a minimum of 3 years dedicated to designing and operating enterprise network infrastructure. A strong hands-on background with Azure networking services such as Virtual WAN, VNets, routing, private endpoints, and ExpressRoute/VPN is essential.

Proficiency with next-generation firewalls, preferably Palo Alto, including policy design, traffic inspection, and SD-WAN integration, is required. A solid understanding of routing protocols like BGP, DNS resolution (public/private/hybrid), and network segmentation is also necessary. Experience with SD-WAN technologies and edge router configuration, along with familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code for network deployment using tools like Terraform, is expected.

Furthermore, you should possess experience in monitoring network health, troubleshooting connectivity and performance issues within a hybrid cloud context. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is a prerequisite. The ability to collaborate effectively with Cloud/Platform Architects, Security, and DevOps teams is vital for aligning network design with platform requirements.
