As a Security Engineer, you'll collaborate with network equipment, actively monitor systems for threats, and partner with software engineers to proactively address security vulnerabilities.

Our Global Security and Resilience Services (GSRS) team focuses on safeguarding Google employees, managing crises, and proactively anticipating and mitigating risks. This role offers the chance to foster a culture where safety and security are integral to every aspect of Google's operations, including the creative process.

Analyze operational processes and business needs to align with the technology roadmap, ensuring accessibility, scalability, automation, and risk mitigation. Deliver technology solutions by gathering requirements, developing user stories, conducting lab testing, and creating comprehensive project, rollout, and communication plans. Support the evaluation, integration, and implementation of third-party solutions.

Provide expert guidance and mentorship to colleagues and stakeholders in physical security, contributing to shared business objectives. Continuously monitor and assess the effectiveness of deployed solutions, incorporating feedback to enhance user experience. Uphold strict confidentiality and safeguard company intellectual property.

A Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience is required, alongside 5 years of experience in security assessments, design reviews, or threat modeling. You'll need 5 years of experience in security engineering, computer and network security, and security protocols, plus 5 years of coding experience in general-purpose languages. An additional 1 year of experience leading technical teams or conducting technical risk analysis in an enterprise setting is essential.

Preferred experience includes Physical Access Control, Intrusion Detection, Case Management, Video Management, PSIM, IT Networking, Construction/Architecture, and no-code development platforms. Experience in technology delivery within Physical/Cyber Security industries, coupled with relevant certifications like PSP, CPP, CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Network+, or Cisco CCNA, is highly valued. The ability to align diverse teams, navigate competing priorities, clearly communicate complex ideas, and build strong stakeholder partnerships is crucial.
