Job description

Join Google Cloud as a Security Customer Engineer and play a vital role in expanding our cybersecurity business. You will serve as a trusted advisor and advocate for our security solutions, engaging with new and existing customers.

This position involves collaborating with C-level executives, security leaders, cloud security architects, and security analysts. You'll leverage both technical expertise and business acumen to drive projects forward. Your role will include guiding customers through technology and solution discovery, offering expert consultation on security and compliance best practices.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the team to identify and qualify business opportunities, addressing customer technical objections and developing strategies to overcome roadblocks.

Engage directly with customers to demonstrate and prototype Google Cloud product integrations within their environments.

Provide recommendations on integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure, adhering to best practices on Google Cloud.

Share your security expertise to foster strong customer relationships, including delivering product and solution briefings and conducting proof-of-concept work. Partner with product management to prioritize solutions that enhance customer engagement.

Present to customers and lead workshops, sharing your experience and acting as a subject matter expert in cybersecurity.

Qualifications

Possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

Minimum of 10 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a strong emphasis on application security, secure SDLC practices, and vulnerability management, particularly in cloud-native or hybrid settings.

Demonstrated experience with cloud technologies and software development.

(Preferred) Hold a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.

(Preferred) Experience with AI-powered security tools for automated vulnerability detection, exploit generation, and code remediation.

(Preferred) Experience in a customer-facing technical role, including product and solution briefings, collaboration with security leaders, and optimizing for production results.

(Preferred) Understanding of AI's impact on both offensive and defensive security strategies.

(Preferred) Familiarity with platforms for deploying and managing security agents or AI models for security applications, especially in code analysis and remediation.
