As a Lead Security Engineer, you will spearhead the firewall security aspects of migration projects. You will establish the technical direction, lead the engineering team, and guarantee the accurate configuration and activation of Check Point firewall rules and network connectivity for secure and seamless migration waves.

- Establish the firewall security strategy, standards, and migration approach across Colo, Azure, and GCP environments. - Design, review, and approve Check Point firewall rules and security policies to facilitate smooth workload migration. - Verify and enable all necessary firewall rules before each migration wave, and swiftly address any connectivity blockers. - Oversee network connectivity across the migration landscape, coordinating firewall changes with networking and infrastructure teams. - Guide and mentor engineers, conduct work reviews, and ensure timely delivery from the offshore team. - Collaborate with migration, application, and infrastructure stakeholders to identify dependencies and define connectivity requirements. - Develop documentation standards for firewall changes, rule bases, and migration runbooks, driving change management and approvals. - Lead real-time monitoring and incident response during cutover periods to quickly identify and resolve issues. - Integrate security best practices, least-privilege access, and compliance requirements throughout the migration process.

- Demonstrate proficiency in Checkpoint Next Generation Firewall. - Possess strong knowledge of GCP networking and security, including VPC, firewall rules, Cloud Interconnect/VPN, and routing. - Exhibit proven experience leading or playing a senior role in cloud migration projects. - Showcase the ability to coordinate a team, review technical work, and drive delivery in an offshore model. - Have experience with large-scale Colo/on-premises to cloud migrations. - Possess cloud networking and security exposure across GCP and/or Azure (VPCs/VNets, routing, VPN/Interconnect, native firewalls/NSGs). - Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform) for network/firewall provisioning is expected. - Relevant certifications such as Check Point CCSE/CCSM or GCP/Azure networking certifications are advantageous. - A minimum of 5–8 years of hands-on experience in cloud networking and firewall engineering, including a lead or senior role, is required. - A Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.), Master of Computer Applications (MCA), or Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree with a strong Computer Science background and a commendable academic record (65% and above) is necessary. - Possess strong leadership, ownership, and decision-making skills, especially during time-sensitive migration windows. - Exhibit excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities across cross-functional teams. - Demonstrate the capacity to mentor engineers and coordinate delivery across different time zones in an offshore setting.
