Your role will involve documenting the deployment of cloud security controls and facilitating a seamless transition to managed cloud security operations. Define the comprehensive firewall security strategy, establishing standards and guiding the migration approach across Colo, Azure, and GCP environments. You will design, rigorously review, and approve Check Point firewall rules and security policies essential for uninterrupted workload migration. Ensuring all necessary firewall rules are active and validated prior to each migration wave, you'll also drive swift resolution of any connectivity blockers.

Oversee network connectivity throughout the migration landscape, coordinating firewall modifications with infrastructure and networking teams. Guide and mentor engineering staff, evaluate their contributions, and orchestrate delivery within an offshore team model. Partner with migration, application, and infrastructure stakeholders to map dependencies and clearly define connectivity requirements. Establish stringent documentation standards for firewall changes, rule bases, and migration runbooks, managing the change-control and approval processes.

Lead real-time monitoring and incident response during critical cutover windows, swiftly identifying and resolving issues. Embed essential security best practices, enforce least-privilege access principles, and ensure compliance requirements are met throughout the entire migration lifecycle.

Essential skills include a strong command of Checkpoint Next Generation Firewall, alongside expertise in GCP networking and security, encompassing VPC, firewall rules, Cloud Interconnect/VPN, and routing. Proven experience leading or holding a senior position in cloud migration projects is vital.

You'll need the ability to effectively coordinate a team, review technical work, and drive delivery in an offshore model. Experience with large-scale Colo/on-premises to cloud migrations is highly desirable, as is cloud networking and security exposure across GCP and/or Azure (VPCs/VNets, routing, VPN/Interconnect, native firewalls/NSGs). Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform for network/firewall provisioning is also key.

We require a minimum of 5–8 years of hands-on experience in cloud networking and firewall engineering, ideally including a lead or senior role. A 15-year full-time education is mandatory, with qualifications such as B.E., MCA, or M.Sc. from a strong Computer Science background and a good academic record (65% and above). Demonstrating strong leadership, ownership, and decision-making capabilities, especially under time-sensitive migration pressures, is crucial. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across cross-functional teams are essential, as is the ability to mentor engineers and coordinate offshore teams across time zones.
