As a Security Analyst within gTech Risk Solutions, you will be an integral part of our proactive security engineering efforts. This role emphasizes transforming security from a reactive function to a preventative force, ensuring the robust protection of Google's ecosystem. You will collaborate closely with Facilities Management and central security teams to develop innovative strategies, investigate incidents, and plan for future risks.

This position is part of a strategic evolution within gTech Risk Solutions Engineering, moving towards a proactive, engineering-driven approach. As a federated security partner, you will design and implement highly tailored security solutions for the gTech business. The core mission is upfront risk prevention through technical excellence, shifting focus from "risk-chasing" to "prevention by design."

Leverage your expertise to construct precise queries for comprehensive data interpretation. Identify and effectively mitigate security risks impacting interconnected products and services. Actively participate in the triaging and detailed documentation of cybersecurity incidents. Proactively manage threats and recommend strategic enhancements to existing processes. Gain a deep understanding of attacker methodologies to propose and implement novel detection mechanisms.

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience, is required.

Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in security operations (SOC), incident response, threat hunting, or IT compliance is essential.

Preferred qualifications include experience with log analysis, data querying using SQL, and monitoring security controls. Demonstrating experience in coordinating cross-functional security incidents is highly valued.

A solid understanding of common security frameworks, access governance models, and the vulnerability management lifecycle is beneficial. The ability to translate operational security findings into actionable technical engineering requirements is also a key advantage.
