Key responsibilities include integrating and optimizing Dolby Vision technology for embedded displays, ensuring color accuracy and dynamic tone mapping. You will also support the implementation of HDMI 2.1b standards for robust product integration.
Collaborate with the SoC team to optimize display pipelines and develop drivers for Linux-based embedded systems. Contribute to panel integration, including MIPI-DSI and HDMI interfaces, and assist in debugging display-related issues.
Utilize Yocto for custom Linux distributions and implement/optimize display drivers within the Linux kernel. Employ Gerrit for code reviews and GitLab for version control and CI/CD. Analyze signal integrity issues and contribute to display documentation. Participate in open-source development and stay updated on emerging display technologies.
We require 5+ years of embedded firmware development experience and 2+ years in design or architecture of new and existing systems. Proficiency in embedded development using C/C++ is essential.
Candidates must have strong experience with V4L2 Memory-to-Memory driver development for video codecs and a proven track record in video decoder/encoder driver development for both legacy and advanced codecs. Hands-on experience with 4K video processing and high-resolution pipeline optimization is necessary.
Proficiency in Linux kernel driver development and multimedia subsystem architecture, along with experience in video codec validation frameworks like Fluster, is required. A strong understanding of the V4L2 framework, Media Controller API, and video buffer management is also critical. A Master's degree in computer science or equivalent is preferred.
