Join Amazon's Last Mile organization as an SDE II, contributing to the cutting-edge technology that powers our global fulfillment network. This role is pivotal in enhancing the efficiency and scalability of our delivery stations, ensuring packages reach customers swiftly and reliably.

You'll be part of a dynamic team focused on building innovative solutions for Amazon Logistics (AMZL) and Global Specialty Fulfillment (GSF). We aim to boost associate productivity, optimize site throughput, and improve the overall quality and scalability of our delivery operations.

Our technology directly impacts the daily work of our on-ground heroes, station managers, central operations teams, and delivery drivers. We develop tools that simplify complex processes, reduce decision-making load, standardize operations, prioritize critical tasks, and minimize errors to meet customer service level agreements.

As an SDE II, you will immerse yourself in our business domain, collaborating closely with development teams to architect and deliver robust software components end-to-end.

You will provide crucial technical leadership, setting high standards for engineering practices and contributing to Amazon's overarching technical architecture.

This role involves tackling challenging problems by building high-quality, architecturally sound systems that align precisely with business objectives. You will think globally, creating high-performing, scalable systems that integrate seamlessly.

Senior engineers are envisioned as pragmatic leaders who can translate complex business needs into effective technological solutions. Your expertise will be both deep and broad, allowing you to contribute at both detailed technical levels and high-level architectural designs.

We are seeking candidates with at least 3 years of professional software development experience, excluding internships.

A minimum of 2 years of experience in designing or architecting new and existing systems, focusing on patterns, reliability, and scalability, is essential.

Proficiency in at least one software programming language is a prerequisite for this role.

Preferred qualifications include 3+ years of experience across the full software development life cycle, encompassing coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is highly desirable.
