As a Software Development Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and managing software solutions from conception through deployment and ongoing operations. You will tackle ambiguous problems with clear goals, bringing clarity and delivering elegant solutions to improve customer purchasing journeys for everyday essentials. Collaboration with scientists, product managers, and designers will be key to transforming customer and brand challenges into globally shipped products. You will leverage generative AI tools and modern engineering practices to enhance quality and efficiency, mentoring colleagues on their effective use. Ensuring the operational health of your services, including monitoring metrics, driving root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement, is essential for both customers and brand partners. To be considered for this role, candidates should possess a minimum of 3 years of professional software development experience, excluding internships. Additionally, 2 years of experience in designing or architecting new and existing systems, focusing on reliability and scalability, is required. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is necessary. Preferred qualifications include 3+ years of experience across the full software development life cycle, encompassing coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations. Experience in building and delivering complex software systems to customers, along with proven ability in debugging, profiling, and implementing best software engineering practices in large-scale environments, will be highly valued.
