As a Scrum Master, you will champion SCRUM disciplines, ensuring the team aligns with project vision and goals. You will cultivate a supportive team atmosphere, proactively removing impediments and facilitating daily stand-ups.

Your role involves keeping the IT team focused on sprint plans, supporting regular reviews, and ensuring stakeholders are informed of progress. You will collaborate closely with the Product Owner on backlog management, prioritization, and refinement. Tracking and interpreting Agile metrics such as velocity and burndown charts will be crucial for continuous improvement.

Further responsibilities include using retrospectives and metrics to enhance delivery predictability and process efficiency, identifying and resolving delivery risks early, and promoting clear ownership and visible progress towards sprint and release objectives. You will be adept at quickly identifying and resolving blockers, including complex organizational or cross-team challenges.

The ideal candidate will possess a degree in a related discipline and have 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, XP coach, or Agile servant leader. Significant experience, also 5+ years, in a leadership or technical role within software or systems development is required.

A proven track record of delivering complex projects using agile methodologies is essential. Understanding of DevOps concepts and exceptional written and verbal communication skills are also key requirements. Agile/Scrum certifications, such as Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or Certified Scrum Master (CSM), are highly desirable.

A Master's degree is considered a plus. Background in retail financial services and familiarity with Kanban are advantageous for this role.
