Join our Public Service Data & AI team as an experienced Data Scientist, driving innovation with Machine Learning and Generative AI on AWS.

This role involves translating complex business challenges into actionable data science solutions. You will be instrumental in developing and deploying advanced AI/ML models, leveraging a strong foundation in data science principles and hands-on technical expertise.

Excellent client-facing skills are essential, enabling effective collaboration with business stakeholders, data engineers, architects, and AI specialists. You will contribute to designing and implementing cutting-edge AI solutions within the Public Service sector.

Spearhead the analysis of extensive datasets to uncover critical insights and identify business opportunities.

Design, develop, and optimize sophisticated machine learning and statistical models for prediction, classification, forecasting, anomaly detection, and NLP.

Build and deploy Proofs of Concept (POCs) and Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) to demonstrate the value of AI/ML solutions.

Develop generative AI solutions leveraging LLMs, RAG, embeddings, vector databases, and prompt engineering.

Collaborate with data engineering and cloud teams to integrate models into enterprise data platforms and applications, ensuring scalability and performance.

Engage directly with clients to understand their business needs, translate them into data science use cases, and conduct workshops and demonstrations.

Possess 5-7 years of hands-on experience in Data Science, with a strong focus on Machine Learning and Generative AI.

Demonstrated expertise in utilizing AWS services such as SageMaker, Bedrock, S3, Lambda, Glue, Athena, Redshift, and Step Functions.

Proven ability to build and integrate scalable ML and Generative AI workflows on AWS.

Experience in developing GenAI solutions using LLMs, RAG, embeddings, vector databases, and prompt engineering.

Strong client-facing skills, with the ability to communicate technical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Familiarity with applying AWS best practices for security, scalability, performance, and cost optimization.
