NTT DATA seeks a seasoned SAP Basis SME Consultant for its Bangalore team. This role is crucial for delivering traditional AMS services, requiring a strong background in SAP Basis technical operations. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively across multiple shifts, adapting to project demands.

This position involves supporting critical SAP environments including ECC, PI, BW, APO, GATP, and BODS systems. The consultant will also be responsible for troubleshooting, upgrades, and OS/DB migrations, ensuring the stability and performance of our clients' SAP landscapes.

Engage in problem-solving for escalated issues and manage SAProuter and OSS configurations.

Execute and oversee SAP installations, re-installations, and configurations, including planning and managing support packages and kernel patch upgrades. Perform client copies and manage transports effectively.

Handle database restoration, recovery, and upgrades, including Oracle parameter review for performance optimization. Configure and manage system alerts, monitor SDCC, and ensure EWA configurations are up-to-date.

Design, set up, and reorganize SAP system landscapes, defining standard operating procedures for backups, restoration, and change management. Manage printer configurations (SCOT) and perform DB/index reorganizations.

Oversee the maintenance of DR standby servers and perform homogeneous system copies. Guide the basis support team technically and coordinate with functional teams. Manage profile/role/authorization aspects based on best practices and handle internal/external escalations.

A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience is required.

Must have proven experience in SAP Administration, Support Packages, Printer Configuration, BEx Installation, and Solution Manager. Familiarity with supporting ECC, PI, BW, APO, GATP, and BODS systems is essential.

Proficiency in troubleshooting, OS/DB migrations, SAProuter setup, OSS configuration, and database backup/restore operations. Experience with kernel patch upgrades, client copies, and transports is also necessary.

Experience with Azure, cloud platforms, Sybase, and MAXDB databases are considered advantageous. SAP Basis certifications are preferred.

Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate between technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strong client service, organizational, and time management skills are expected.
