Opportunity for a seasoned SAP S/4HANA SD/Transportation Management (TM) Lead to spearhead logistics execution and transportation workstreams within major SAP S/4HANA transformation initiatives. This role demands full ownership of transportation planning, execution, and settlement, alongside carrier integrations, ensuring alignment with S/4HANA best practices and enterprise logistics strategies.

The lead will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, solution architects, and cross-functional SAP teams to architect a robust, scalable, and compliant transportation solution.

Lead SAP SD/TM workstreams through S/4HANA transformations (Greenfield, Brownfield, Selective Data Transition). Own end-to-end transportation planning, execution, and settlement processes, serving as the primary escalation point for TM-related matters. Drive solution design and hands-on configuration for SAP SD/TM, covering freight orders, unit management, planning (manual/optimizer), carrier selection, tendering, subcontracting, and freight settlement.

Ensure adherence to S/4HANA logistics architecture and SAP best practices. Lead Fit-to-Standard workshops, harmonize logistics processes, and manage custom code impacts for TM in S/4HANA. Guide master data conversion and validation for logistics and transportation. Coordinate with SD, MM, WM/EWM, GTS, and FI/CO teams for seamless integration across key business processes. Collaborate with technical teams for carrier interfaces and tracking integrations. Lead testing phases, cutover planning, and hypercare support.

Uphold SAP Activate methodology, project standards, and documentation. Review and approve functional designs, configurations, and test artifacts. Mentor TM consultants and facilitate knowledge transfer.

A minimum of 10-12 years of SAP experience is required, with extensive hands-on expertise in SAP Transportation Management and SAP SD. Deep understanding of logistics execution and transportation processes is essential. Candidates must have led at least 2-3 full-cycle SAP S/4HANA transformation projects in a SD/TM Lead capacity. A strong grasp of end-to-end supply chain and logistics operations is crucial.

Experience with embedded TM in S/4HANA, and its integration with EWM, SD, MM, and GTS, is necessary. Proficiency in freight settlement and charge calculation is expected. Exposure to real-time tracking, carrier collaboration portals, or IoT integration is advantageous. Knowledge of LeanIX or Signavio for process flow preparation is an added benefit.

Demonstrated success in leading TM delivery within large SAP programs is key. Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities are required. Experience in global, multi-country, and onshore-offshore delivery models is preferred. Strong analytical, problem-solving, mentoring, and documentation skills are also valued.
