Seeking an experienced SAP HCM Benefits Configuration Consultant to implement and manage complex benefits administration logic. This role involves detailed configuration of SAP HCM Benefits modules to align with collective agreements and various employee scenarios.
Key responsibilities include ensuring accurate eligibility and enrollment dates, configuring plan-specific rules, and managing personnel actions for dynamic enrolment processes. The consultant will also be instrumental in setting up business rules for validation and audit logging.

Configure SAP HCM Benefits Administration (IT0041, IT0167, IT0168, IT0169) to implement collective agreement–driven waiting period logic, including eligibility/enrolment date determination and plan-specific rules. Design and configure new PA40 Personnel Actions to manage dynamic enrolment, termination, and adjustment of dates across various employee scenarios. Set up AACT/business rules for waiting period validations and support audit logging for date field changes. Configure benefits treatment for employees on leave or inactive status, differentiating legislative impacts on waiting period accrual and re-enrolment. Support data flow and downstream impacts across Time, Payroll, and reporting jobs driven by benefits eligibility changes. Participate in SIT/UAT cycles, troubleshoot production data issues, and validate transaction behavior. Document configuration decisions and provide training to HR and AccessHR users on new processes.
Possess 8-12 years of hands-on experience in SAP HCM Benefits Administration, with a strong command of Personnel Administration (PA) infotypes and benefits infotypes (IT0041, IT0167, IT0168, IT0169). A mandatory SAP HCM professional certification is required. Demonstrate proven experience configuring benefits eligibility, waiting periods, and enrolment logic aligned with collective agreements or union rules. Showcase experience in designing or modifying PA40 personnel actions and associated dynamic actions/business rules (AACT). Understand Not Actively at Work (NA@W) scenarios (LOA, STDP, IOD, GRTW) and their impact on benefits and payroll. Exhibit the ability to translate collective agreement/legal language into functional and technical configuration requirements. Experience supporting SIT/UAT and production support for benefits processes is essential. Excellent communication skills are needed to engage effectively with client business and technical teams. S/4HANA experience, including Business Partner (BP) concepts, is beneficial. Familiarity with audit logging (PCL4) and change-tracking for regulated configurations is a plus.
