Seeking an experienced SAP Basis & Security Senior Consultant to provide traditional AMS services. This role demands excellent communication skills and a proven track record in support projects, upgrades, and OS/DB migrations.

Ideal candidates will possess expertise in managing AMS projects and tickets, coupled with a minimum of three end-to-end BW implementation experiences. The position requires 7-9 years of hands-on experience in SAP administration, including support packages, printer configuration, BEx installation, and Solution Manager. You will be instrumental in supporting critical systems such as ECC, PI, BW, APO, GATP, and BODS.

Valued additional proficiencies include Azure, cloud technologies, and Sybase & MAXDB databases. Preferred qualifications involve SAP Basis certifications and the ability to prepare detailed technical documents. Flexibility to work in different shifts according to project needs is essential.

Key responsibilities include providing SAP Basis & Security technical support for traditional AMS services. You will manage AMS projects and tickets, leveraging your expertise in support projects, upgrades, and OS/DB migrations.

Responsibilities encompass SAP administration tasks such as managing support packages, printer configuration, BEx installation, and Solution Manager. You will support ECC, PI, BW, APO, GATP, and BODS systems. This includes problem troubleshooting and resolution for escalated calls, SAProuter setup, and OSS configuration.

Further duties involve setting up SAP Logon groups, managing offline/online backups, and performing database restoration and recovery. Planning and executing support package and kernel patch upgrades, client copies, transports, and database upgrades are also critical. You will also perform database verification, Oracle parameter review, and manage CBO statistics, SNOTE application, SCOT configuration, and DB/index reorganization.

Additional responsibilities include the resolution of deadlocks and timeouts, maintenance of DR standby servers, and homogenous system copy. You will also configure system log/alert thresholds. As a Team Lead, you will guide basis support personnel technically and coordinate with functional teams. Profile/Role management, authorization management, and implementing SAP Support Practices are key. Report generation, presentation, and managing basis operations, including internal and external escalations, are also part of the role. SAP Security activities such as role creation and assignment are also required.

Required skills include a strong understanding of system development methodology, project management, and system architecture. Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities are essential.

Candidates should possess the ability to understand both IT and business challenges. Excellent influencing and communication skills are necessary to effectively bridge the gap between non-technical business users and IT resources. A strong client service attitude is paramount.

Configuration of EWA, designing, setting up, and reorganizing SAP system landscapes, and defining standard operating procedures for backups and restoration are also required.

Checking and managing CBO statistics, automatic note application through SNOTE, Printer and SCOT configuration, and DB and index reorganization are essential. Resolution of deadlocks and timeouts, maintenance and monitoring of DR standby server, and homogenous system copy are also expected.

Configuring/re-configuring system log/alert thresholds is required. The role involves team leadership for basis support personnel and guiding the team technically. Coordination with and supporting functional teams, profile/role management, and authorization management based on best practices are also important.

Implementing & Managing SAP Support Practices, Report Generation & Presentation, and strong communication & presentation skills are necessary. Responsibility for entire Basis operations and handling internal/external escalations is crucial. SAP Security activities like role creation and assignment are also required. The position requires availability Monday-Friday (05:30 am to 05:30 pm PST), with potential shift changes and weekend work for urgent business needs.
