As a Senior SAP BASIS Specialist, you will be instrumental in managing and optimizing our SAP BASIS infrastructure and operations. This senior role is designed for individuals who can ensure system stability, security, and high performance across complex SAP environments. You will collaborate with IT teams, functional consultants, and business stakeholders to implement best practices, resolve intricate technical issues, and support system upgrades, patches, and migrations. Your expertise will be vital in maintaining system health, adhering to IT policies, and supporting disaster recovery initiatives.

Your primary responsibilities will include driving decision-making, optimizing processes, managing resources, and overseeing team execution for task completion. You will be accountable for personnel allocation, supervising team members, assigning tasks, and ensuring teams are equipped with the necessary tools and support for success. This involves optimizing and evaluating performance against organizational goals.

Key technical duties encompass performance monitoring and tuning, in-depth problem analysis and resolution, and other essential activities for maintaining SAP system integrity. You will administer SAP on UNIX & Windows environments, manage system copies, and handle ABAP + Java dual-stack systems. Responsibilities extend to applying and troubleshooting add-ons and Support Packs, performing kernel upgrades, and managing client copies and export-imports. Furthermore, you will administer and troubleshoot TMS configurations and transport errors, conduct thorough SAP system monitoring and issue analysis, and configure SAP parameters, operation modes, and logon groups.

This role also requires knowledge of SAP Role-based Authorization for role creation and modification, as well as spool administration and troubleshooting printer issues. You will apply OSS Notes and gain experience with Single-Sign-On and Web Dispatcher. A significant aspect involves working with SAP on public and private clouds, including experience with cloud service providers like AWS, Azure, and GCP. Proficiency in SAP Solution Manager, including basic and advanced configuration, is essential, alongside hands-on experience with SAP user provisioning, authorization troubleshooting, and role assignments. Familiarity with OS/DB migration processes and components like Web Dispatcher and Gateway is also expected.

This role requires a minimum of 3 years and a maximum of 6 years of dedicated experience in the SAP Basis domain. You should possess robust hands-on experience in SAP system administration, covering installation, configuration, upgrades, and performance optimization. A strong understanding of SAP architecture, transport management, kernel updates, and system refresh processes is crucial.

Proficiency in administering SAP HANA, including monitoring, tuning, backup/recovery, and basic troubleshooting, is essential. Experience supporting various SAP landscapes such as S/4HANA, ECC, BW/4HANA, PO/PI, Fiori, Solution Manager, and others is required. Strong knowledge of SAP BTP, including its key services, integration patterns, and administration fundamentals, is also a key requirement.

Furthermore, extensive working experience with RISE with SAP environments and associated operational activities is necessary. Excellent documentation skills for system delivery, ensuring clear, structured, and audit-ready technical documentation, are vital. Strong communication skills, enabling effective interaction with clients and stakeholders, are also expected. Familiarity with Solution Manager features like CHARM, EWA, and monitoring capabilities will be beneficial.
