NTT DATA is seeking an experienced SAP BASIS Lead Architect to join our dynamic team in Bangalore, India. This pivotal role requires a seasoned SAP professional to function as a SAP Basis/HANA Architect, Project/Implementation Lead, AMS Support Lead, and a key contributor in Presales activities.

We are looking for an individual with deep technical expertise in SAP Basis and SAP HANA/S/4HANA, combined with strong leadership, communication, and commercial skills. The ideal candidate will expertly guide client engagements from inception through ongoing operations, ensuring successful outcomes and driving client success.

Lead the architectural design of complex SAP landscapes across various environments, including on-premises and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP, RISE with SAP). Provide expert-level guidance on SAP HANA database administration, performance, security, and disaster recovery. Define technical roadmaps aligned with business objectives and SAP's strategic direction. Establish and enforce technical standards and governance for SAP Basis.

Spearhead SAP project planning and execution, including S/4HANA conversions/implementations, OS/DB migrations, and major upgrades. Develop and lead cutover strategies for near-zero downtime go-lives. Coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Functional, Development, and Infrastructure.

Serve as a technical SME during presales, developing competitive technical solutions and contributing to proposals (RFPs/RFIs, SOWs). Conduct system sizing and develop TCO/ROI models. Present technical solutions to C-level executives and stakeholders.

Design and lead SAP Basis Application Management Services (AMS) delivery models. Act as the top-tier technical escalation point for critical incidents and complex issues. Drive continuous improvement through automation and performance optimization. Mentor Basis/HANA support teams.

A minimum of 12 years of SAP Basis experience, with at least 5 years in an Architect or Lead role, including demonstrable Presales experience. Experience with at least two full implementations and 3-4 upgrade/migration projects within a Tier-1 organization. Possess deep hands-on expertise in SAP Basis, NetWeaver, S/4HANA, HANA, Oracle, MSSQL, and other database administration. Proven track record leading multiple full-cycle SAP OS/DB migrations, S/4HANA conversions/migrations, and major system upgrades. Strong working knowledge of running SAP on major Hyperscalers (Azure, AWS, GCP) or in a RISE with SAP context. Demonstrated experience leading large, distributed, and cross-functional technical teams. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
