As an SAP Basis Consultant, you will be responsible for administering, monitoring, and maintaining SAP S/4HANA landscapes, including development, quality, and production systems. Key duties involve performing SAP system installations, configurations, refreshes, client copies, kernel upgrades, and patch management. You will also manage system start/stop procedures, transport management, spool administration, background jobs, and user administration.

Your role will extend to supporting SAP S/4HANA implementation, upgrade, migration, and conversion projects. This includes performing system monitoring, performance tuning, and issue resolution to ensure high availability and stability. You will also handle SAP HANA database administration activities, system copies, backups, recovery support, and disaster recovery planning.

Additional responsibilities include supporting SAP Fiori, SAP Gateway, Web Dispatcher, and SAP Cloud Connector administration, as well as maintaining security-related Basis activities like role coordination and SSL certificate management. Collaboration with infrastructure, network, database, and application teams is crucial. You will also ensure proper documentation, operational procedure compliance, and adherence to SAP best practices.

We are looking for a candidate with strong, hands-on experience in SAP Basis administration and SAP S/4HANA systems support. Essential knowledge includes SAP installations, upgrades, patching, transport management, and system refresh activities. Familiarity with SAP HANA database administration concepts and experience with SAP Fiori, SAP Gateway, Web Dispatcher, and Cloud Connector are required.

A solid understanding of monitoring tools, system performance analysis, and experience in Unix/Linux and Windows server environments are vital. Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills are necessary for this role. Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, 5+ years of SAP Basis experience, and experience in S/4HANA implementation or migration projects. Certifications in SAP Basis, SAP HANA, or S/4HANA are advantageous, as is exposure to cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP for SAP hosting.
