Key responsibilities include the comprehensive administration, monitoring, and maintenance of SAP S/4HANA environments across development, quality, and production systems. This involves performing system installations, configurations, refreshes, kernel upgrades, and patch management.

Further duties encompass managing system operations like start/stop, transport management, spool administration, background jobs, and user administration. You will also actively support SAP S/4HANA implementation, upgrade, migration, and conversion projects, ensuring high availability and stability through performance tuning and issue resolution.

The role also requires managing SAP HANA database administration, system copies, backups, recovery support, and disaster recovery planning. Additionally, you will support SAP Fiori, SAP Gateway, Web Dispatcher, and SAP Cloud Connector administration, alongside crucial Basis security activities. Collaboration with infrastructure, network, database, and application teams is essential for environment support, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to SAP best practices.

Candidates should possess strong, hands-on experience in SAP Basis administration, with a solid track record of supporting SAP S/4HANA systems and landscapes. Essential knowledge includes SAP installation, upgrades, patching, transport management, and system refresh activities.

Familiarity with SAP HANA database administration concepts is required, as is experience with SAP Fiori, SAP Gateway, Web Dispatcher, and Cloud Connector. A good understanding of SAP Solution Manager, monitoring tools, and system performance analysis is beneficial.

Proficiency in Unix/Linux and Windows server environments is necessary. Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills are vital for success in this role. A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 5+ years of SAP Basis experience, particularly with S/4HANA implementation or migration projects, are highly preferred.
