Key responsibilities include designing, developing, testing, and supporting SAP ABAP programs and enhancements. This involves creating and maintaining reports, ALV reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, and workflows.

You will develop and support BAPIs, BADIs, User Exits, Customer Exits, the Enhancement Framework, and RFCs. Additionally, you'll develop and troubleshoot IDoc/ALE-based interfaces, work with Smart Forms, SAPscript, and Adobe Forms, and perform debugging to resolve complex SAP application issues.

Collaboration with functional consultants across various SAP modules (FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, PM) is crucial. Responsibilities also include developing and supporting integrations between SAP and external systems, performing code reviews, optimizing performance, and supporting incidents, service requests, and change requests within agreed SLAs. Unit testing, SIT, UAT, regression testing, and production deployments are also part of the role, alongside supporting transports and coordinating with Basis and functional teams for releases. You will prepare technical specifications and necessary documentation.

This role demands strong hands-on experience in SAP ABAP, coupled with a solid understanding of Reports, ALV, Data Dictionary, Function Modules, and ABAP Objects (OO ABAP).

Proficiency in BAPI, BADI, User Exits, Customer Exits, and the Enhancement Framework is essential. Experience with IDoc/ALE, RFC, and interface development is required. Familiarity with Smart Forms, SAPscript, and/or Adobe Forms is necessary.

Candidates must possess strong debugging and troubleshooting skills, along with experience in ABAP performance analysis and optimization. A good understanding of SAP functional processes and cross-module integration is expected. Experience in AMS L2/L3 support and/or implementation projects is beneficial.

For candidates with S/4HANA experience, knowledge of BAP on HANA, CDS Views, AMDP, OData Services, SAP Gateway, Fiori backend development, code pushdown, HANA optimization concepts, S/4HANA custom-code remediation, and simplification is highly valued. Experience with RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming Model) is preferred.
