Join EY as a Senior Associate in our global Software Asset Management (SAM) team. This role is instrumental in optimizing complex, high-value software contracts that are critical to our business operations. You will contribute to maximizing value from these contracts by working independently and as part of a dedicated team of SAM and licensing experts. You’ll engage with some of the largest and most intricate software licensing agreements across a broad spectrum of world-class vendors.
EY's client offerings frequently involve sophisticated software contracts, including traditional perpetual licenses with maintenance, and various cloud subscription services. Your responsibilities will span cloud services like Azure, complex infrastructure licensing, client-integrated licensing assessments, and usage tracking.
You will be key in managing licensing matters, defining governance frameworks, and refining SAM processes as an integral part of a cross-functional team that includes finance, procurement, and technical specialists. Assist in the end-to-end management of Software License Management, encompassing governance design, process definition, discovery, and usage tracking.
Contribute to reporting, audit response, compliance validation, and renewal processes, including cost recovery modeling.
Support internal and vendor audit response projects, requiring strong commercial acumen and in-depth subject matter expertise.
Collaborate closely with the Finance team to develop and manage internal chargeback designs and provide accurate license spend forecasts.
Aid in the creation of Effective License Positions (ELP) and 12-Month Renewal Plans for a significant number of software contracts.
Identify and implement cost savings and optimization opportunities across various software vendors.
Possess a minimum of 3 years of proven experience in License Management within a large corporate setting.
Demonstrate the ability to manage server software licensing models and product use rights for major software vendors.
Exhibit experience with high-value software contracts from vendors such as Microsoft, IBM, Adobe, SAP, and Oracle.
Have experience utilizing IT asset management systems and IT asset discovery technologies.
Showcase experience in contract negotiation and management.
Possess some experience in Cloud consumption management, with a proven ability to identify cost-saving and optimization opportunities.
Maintain sufficient technical understanding to effectively support all licensing models.
