This role involves handling requests, changes, and incidents to ensure robust network security solutions. Implement and provide operational support for network security solutions, including Palo Alto, Fortinet, and Cisco FTD. Offer expert-level knowledge on Palo Alto features such as URL filtering, vulnerability protection, AV, and anti-spyware profiles, along with strong command of App-ID and app filters. Troubleshoot complex issues using packet captures and debugs on Palo Alto and Fortinet firewalls. Provide technical escalation to L2 support engineers and write custom queries on Palo Alto for reporting. Participate in on-call support for high-severity incidents in a 24x7 environment, ensuring adherence to Service Level Agreements and operational standards. Perform system maintenance, health checks, and maintain comprehensive documentation. Develop resolution plans for device issues and proactively propose service, process, and technical improvements.

A minimum of 12 years of Network Security administration experience is required, complemented by excellent time management skills. Possess strong troubleshooting abilities specifically for Palo Alto Firewalls and a solid understanding of template/stack architecture. Responsibilities include daily steady-state operations, request and change management, and weekly on-call rotation support. Conduct weekly/monthly health status checks across all supported network security platforms. Experience working with multiple customer support environments for upgrades, patches, and operational support is essential. Assist in conducting rule set reviews to enhance customer security footprints and provide operational support for Network & Security environments.

Knowledge of Palo Alto, Prisma, Fortinet, F5, Prisma SASE, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, and switching technologies is crucial. Understanding integrations with authentication protocols like LDAP, IWA, IWA-direct, SSO, and Active Directory is necessary. Candidates must hold at least two mid-level network security certifications from vendors like Cisco, Palo Alto, or Fortinet (e.g., CCNP Security, PCNSE). Clear understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems is also required.
