Job description

Join EY and build a career that's as unique as you are. We offer global scale, inclusive culture, and technology to help you become your best self. Your unique perspective is vital in helping EY create a better working world for everyone.

This role is within Risk Management Services (Independence), a critical internal function at EY GDS focused on safeguarding the organization from professional practice risks. As part of the largest sub-service function, Independence, you'll assist client-serving teams in maintaining EY's auditor independence for existing and prospective clients. Auditor independence is a regulatory cornerstone ensuring objectivity, integrity, and impartiality.

This is an opportunity to work in a dynamic, growth-focused environment, dedicated to protecting EY's reputation as an independent auditor. You will collaborate closely with global teams and stakeholders to enhance our compliance framework and foster continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

As a Supervising Analyst in Independence, you will serve as a subject matter expert, interpreting client company structures and relationships according to EY Global Independence policies. You'll achieve mastery of internal Independence tools and drive your team to deliver high-quality outcomes by adhering to best practices. Your role involves performing secondary research, facilitating process changes, and sharing deep technical insights with engagement teams and stakeholders.

You will also be responsible for updating process documents, leading training sessions for team members, and resolving service delivery issues using root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions. Conducting second-level audits ensures a robust quality assurance model. Additionally, you'll act as an account manager, coordinating with client-serving teams for exceptional deliverables and client experience, while consistently evaluating processes for enhancement opportunities and meeting individual/team KPIs.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should possess a Master's or postgraduate degree from a reputable institution and have 7-8 years of professional experience. Prior experience in compliance or research functions within Big 4 or similar professional service organizations is essential. Experience managing teams of 10-20 members is required, with a preference for candidates with backgrounds in Risk Management or Independence.

Exposure to client interactions is highly valued. Strong analytical, interpersonal, and written/verbal communication skills in English are necessary. A solid understanding of company structures, ownership, audit, and risk management concepts is key. Experience with external research, data analysis, and interpretation is also important. Proficiency in MS Office is a must, with preferred knowledge of project management and business analytics tools like Power BI, alongside basic lean methodologies. Familiarity with private equity domains, external databases such as Capital IQ and Factiva, and emerging technologies like Gen-AI are advantageous.
