Join Microsoft's Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) team as a Regional Data Center Program Manager, playing a pivotal role in expanding our global data center infrastructure across the APAC region. You will lead the mobilization and operational readiness of new data center capacity, ensuring seamless integration with our existing network. This role is instrumental in powering Microsoft's essential online services, including Azure, Office 365, and Xbox, serving over a billion customers worldwide. Lead comprehensive programs for new data center launches and major infrastructure upgrades, defining clear plans, milestones, and risk assessments. Drive execution from initial mobilization through to operational readiness, meticulously tracking critical deliverables and dependencies. Establish robust program governance, proactively managing schedules, risks, and issues, and escalating as needed. Coordinate effectively with diverse teams including Data Center Operations, engineering, networking, construction, and external vendors. Influence and align stakeholders across a regional matrixed environment to achieve program objectives. Identify and mitigate delivery risks early, developing recovery plans and fostering cross-functional collaboration. Partner with site management and vendors to ensure safe, consistent, and high-quality deployments. Utilize program data to monitor progress, identify at-risk activities, and provide clear status reports to leadership. Develop and disseminate best practices and reusable processes across APAC to enhance future mobilization efforts. Facilitate knowledge transfer to local teams for sustainable operational ownership. Align with global teams on mobilization standards while adapting to regional needs. Champion safety, security, compliance, and quality throughout all program phases. A minimum of 3 years' experience in project or program management is required, specifically with complex, cross-functional infrastructure, data center, cloud, or critical-environment programs. Demonstrated success in leading projects end-to-end, encompassing planning, milestone management, dependency tracking, risk mitigation, and stakeholder communication. Prior experience in data center operations, infrastructure deployment, or a related technical field is essential. The ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams in a fast-paced, evolving environment is crucial. Strong experience in identifying program risks, resolving blockers, and driving recovery actions across various stakeholder groups is expected. Proven ability to influence and establish accountability without direct authority across engineering, operations, vendors, and other stakeholders. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary to convey complex program information clearly to both technical and leadership audiences. A working knowledge of data center technical infrastructure and deployment lifecycles is required for effective engagement with subject matter experts. Must be able to collaborate effectively with geographically distributed and culturally diverse teams. Willingness to travel up to 25% is required based on program and site needs.
