The role involves managing the end-to-end fund accounting and reporting cycle, from Net Asset Value (NAV) calculation to financial statements. You will oversee the preparation and review of deliverables, mentor junior team members, and collaborate with stakeholders to enhance accuracy and process efficiency.

Lead the fund accounting and reporting process, ensuring accuracy from NAV to financial statements. Oversee the preparation and review of all deliverables related to fund accounting. Manage and develop junior team members, fostering a high-performing environment. Liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operations. Drive continuous improvement in accuracy, control, and overall processes within the team. Implement and enhance operational risk processes through new procedures and controls. Execute detailed accounting activities, including capital calls, valuations, and transaction processing. Identify and propose technology-driven solutions for platform enablement and process automation. Collaborate with business and technology partners to translate requirements into scalable solutions and contribute to product roadmaps. Leverage AI fluency to drive AI-driven process improvements and responsible AI adoption.

A minimum of 8-12 years of experience in the asset management sector, with exposure to US-based asset management or fund administration firms being a significant advantage. Proficiency with software tools such as document management systems, workflow systems, partnership accounting, and investment sub-ledger software like eFront, Investran, Yardi, or Eagle. Demonstrated experience in financial statement reporting and analysis. A Master's degree in Accounting or Finance is mandatory, such as an MBA, CA, ACCA, or CPA. Strong understanding of fund accounting, expense reporting, tax reporting, various asset types, and derivatives within the financial industry. Experience in operational aspects including NAV finalization, reconciliations, management reporting, investor reporting, and reconciling investor capital balances. Functional knowledge of financial instruments and exposure to banking/WAM domains. Understanding of private equity and real estate fund structures and operations. Familiarity with fund controllership and investment records is beneficial. General knowledge of US GAAP and regulatory requirements is a plus. Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) are essential. Effective interaction capabilities with diverse stakeholders and crisp executive communication skills are required.
