Join Amazon Payments as a Quality Assurance Engineer and be instrumental in shaping the quality of our innovative financial products. This role is for a driven professional passionate about elevating product quality and testing efficiency through the entire product lifecycle.
You will leverage cutting-edge technical skills to significantly enhance product quality and exhibit a strong curiosity for emerging technologies. The automated tests and test plans you develop will be critical in identifying defects, from component integration to end-to-end customer experiences. We are seeking an engineer eager to collaborate across software, hardware, cloud, algorithms, and computer vision to bring exciting new products to market.
Innovate and refine QA processes by developing robust, automatable QA systems. Collaborate closely with Product Managers, QAEs, SDETs, and SDEs to gain a deep understanding of features and their technical implementation.
Key responsibilities include identifying use cases, crafting comprehensive test plans, defining effective test strategies, and creating both manual and automated test cases. You will be responsible for reporting product quality and reliability to stakeholders, advocating for Gen AI and best practices in quality assurance.
Own the creation and execution of test strategies, ensuring design for testability. This role involves creating test strategies, test plans, and test cases, reviewing user interfaces for conformity and functionality, and efficiently executing test cases across all product areas. You will also be tasked with reviewing product user interfaces for adherence to design guidelines, meticulously finding, isolating, documenting, regressing, and tracking bugs through to resolution.
A minimum of 4 years of experience in quality assurance engineering is required, encompassing both manual and automation testing. Proficiency in scripting or coding is essential, along with prior experience serving as a QA lead on medium to large-scale projects.
Preferred qualifications include experience with automated test frameworks like Selenium or Appium, and a proven ability to gather test requirements to develop detailed test plans. Demonstrating the capability to define quality metrics for measuring product quality is also highly valued.
