As a QA Lead, you will spearhead the enterprise-level automation testing strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with project goals and quality engineering objectives. Drive the adoption of advanced automation tools, frameworks, and best practices across diverse projects. You will establish robust governance models, architecture standards, and reusable components to enhance maintainability and coding practices.

Lead multiple QA teams to deliver high-quality automated testing solutions, providing technical expertise for intricate automation scenarios, including API authentication and cross-system validations. Design and guide the CI/CD execution approach within GitLab for automated suites, managing pipeline stages and environments. You will be accountable for automation effectiveness, reducing defect leakage, and enhancing overall test confidence across programs.

Collaborate with stakeholders to define key automation KPIs, dashboards, and quality metrics. Establish seamless integration patterns with Jira/X-Ray for traceability and automated reporting. Review and ensure the quality of automation code through rigorous standards enforcement and code reviews. Oversee knowledge transfer and onboarding processes for the team.

Identify and manage automation risks and dependencies, escalating blockers as needed. Support defect triage and root cause analysis for automation failures, driving improvements to minimize flaky tests. Ensure all delivered automation artifacts are production-ready, complete with documentation and handover readiness. Contribute actively to agile ceremonies and stakeholder demos, communicating progress and outcomes. Explore opportunities for innovation, including AI-driven testing and performance optimization.

Mandatory skills for this role include proficiency in Selenium, Java, API Automation, REST Assured, TDD, and Junit. Strong experience in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines, particularly with GitLab, is essential. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of automation architecture, governance models, and best practices.
